Additional Information

Host genetics of leprosy are poorly defined in indigenous populations in Australia. Also risks of dapsone hypersensitivity syndrome is likely to be increased in indigenous populations (eg., via the reported high gene frequency of the HLA-B13*03 gene allele), but this remains unexplored in the Australian indigenous context, in regional WA.
